As I am not bound to medium nor adhere to a set of processes, the vision behind this collection of work is driven by the ever-changing mobility of our times. My artistic practice is motivated by a pursuit to understand how art and the artist catalyze substantive change and justice itself. Thus far, I have realized I must not just hear, but listen closely to the voices and silence of one other. Influenced by the art historical movements that exalt the faculty of the imagination, my work aims to offer a moment to indulge in limitless possibility that exists in one’s mind. Moreover, the Fluxus movement and idiosyncratic forms of avant-garde art continue to inspire my focus on the transformative, meditative and healing qualities of art-making itself. By looking inward, outward, and back inward again, therein lies the potential for an altered mind.
